Our Story

Gemrook Diagnostic Services Limited was founded in 2005 as a technical consulting company in laboratory pathology services in Nigeria and a distributor of anatomical pathology reagents and laboratory equipment.

Gemrook Diagnostic Services successfully introduced and helped set up immunohistochemistry laboratories at a number of University Teaching Hospitals strategically located all over Nigeria. Now, it has major private laboratories and two major advanced medical research institution as customers.

As part of our expansion, Gemrook Laboratories Limited was established in early 2022, as a state of the art and modern laboratory, to provide reliable quality and rapid turn-around immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, in-situ hybridization and genetic testing to pathologists and oncologists in Nigeria. We have partnered with key manufacturers and suppliers to provide laboratory equipment and reagents to drive and sustain this effort and we have begun to make significant headway in establishing our presence in the Nigerian cancer healthcare sector.

Our goal at Gemrook is to remain an important partner of pathology diagnostic practices for laboratory diagnostic supplies, a centre of excellence and pre-eminent referral laboratory for diagnostic testing and training, and work with other healthcare professionals and partners to improve the outcome for cancer patients in Nigeria.
